ParSU Joins BOWT Training Workshop

Partido State University Implements 2007 iSchools Project

Partido State University (ParSU) of Goa, Camarines Sur, Region V joined the 2007 iSchools Project of the Commission on Information and Communication Technology (CICT).

The entry of ParSU to the iSchool of CICT was made through the effort of the university president, Dr. Nita V. Morallo. The university president became very interested in the said project. She instructed the Information Technology Director, Ms. Amelita S. Merano to comply the iSchools project requirements. Finally, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the CICT was signed on May 14, 2008.

The ParSU, as partner institution of CICT was officially assigned to inspect, assess and evaluate Public High Schools (PHS). This includes schools from Camarines Norte and the third district of Camarines Sur. The following schools are the possible recipients of 2007 iSchools project of CICT visited by ParSU:

Province of Camarines Norte

• San Isidro Alcantara High School(SINHS) (link to Camarines Norte),
  
• Dominador Narido High School (DNHS) (link to Camarines Norte), and
  
• Abaño High School (AHS)) (link to Camarines Norte),
  

3rd District of Camarines Sur

• San Rafael National High School (SRNHS) (link to Camarines Sur),
• La Salvacion National High School (LSNHS) (link to Camarines Sur),
• Rangas-Ramos High School (RRHS) (link to Camarines Sur), and
• Juan L. Filipino Memorial School(JLFMS) (link to Camarines Sur)
  

The ParSU assessment and evaluation showed that SINHS in Camarines Norte and JLFMS in 3rd District of Camarines Sur has no computer units. However, SINHS is expecting computer units from the Department of Trade and industry (DTI). Other PHS has either had enough computer units with internet connection or a recipient of computer units from DTI.

Hello, welcome to Isarog iSchools of ParSU of Goa, Camarines Sur, Region V. Specifically located at the Third Congressional District of Camarines Sur also known as Partido Area. The only university in Camarines Sur composed of 7 campuses and 1 laboratory high school. ParSU is now under the leadership of the first lady president – Dr. Nita V.Morallo.

Mt. Isarog, a beautiful mountain in Camarines Sur, is near the vicinity of the university. It is known for its vast natural resources and the scenic beauty compared to a “sleeping beauty with a very long hair.” Mt. Isarog covers 6 municipalities and 1 city which include Goa municipality. Suffice to say, ParSU is relatively located at the foot of this beautiful mountain. Hence, Isarog iSchools of ParSU was the name chosen to facilitate location of the university.
